We are a locally-owned coffee shop and small batch coffee roaster with two locations in Southwest Houston - in Sienna and Arcola. Our guests can enjoy a variety of coffee-based drinks, cool refreshers, loose leaf tea and scrumptious pastries in a friendly, casual and cozy environment. Our coffee beans are sourced from well-known coffee regions around the world and roasted in-house to deliver you the best cup of coffee you’ve ever had. It’s that simple.
Continuing with our Artisan coffee shop & roastery in Sienna, we also developed a coffee lab, studio and larger roastery in Arcola as a means of helping other small businesses get up and running, or grow in their own market by offering kitchen, studio & event space rentals. Think of us as part incubator, part maker-space, part creative gathering, all coffee.
Who is bean here coffee?
Mike, or Mr. Bean as his fellow Barista's call him, is a life-long coffee lover and would drink an airpot of coffee a day (and a red bull!) during college. He started learning about the wide aspects of the coffee industry over the course of the next few decades. Often visiting a place for its coffee shops then figuring out what other destinations are nearby, coffee was central to learning more about coffee and inching towards his dream of opening a coffee shop.
After working a couple decades in the marketing, design and photography industry, Mike wanted to work on something that could eventually be passed on to his kids, and provided an avenue and means of pursuing his love for giving back and supporting the community. He started roasting coffee in his garage using a 1 kilo (2.2 lb) coffee roaster which were sold online and at a local farmers market.
After long hours working in the corporate world, Mike would come home and work on plans and ideas for what is now bean here coffee. A couple years later, one morning, he woke up and said to himself, "This is the day", turned in his resignation and went full steam (ha!) towards his dream. For the next year he worked on building out our original location in Sienna. It opened in August of 2017 just a few days before Hurricane Harvey.
The rest, as they say, is history. :)
